Who We Are
The Equipment Management Department manages all UC Merced surplus property (equipment and non-equipment items) in accordance with UC policy BUS-38: "Disposition of Excess Property and Transfer of University-Owned Property.”
Surplus items are first offered to other UC Merced departments for sale, then to other UC campuses (if the items are valued at $50,000 each or more). If there are no “takers,” the items are offered for public sale.
