As the campus continues to utilize BobcatBuy+ for all catalog orders, the Supply Chain Center of Excellence team would like to highlight the following updates as related to campus gas vendors.
BobcatBuy+ has three suppliers for gases available for purchasing:

Airgas - Available and ready for purchasing within BobcatBuy+

Linde Gas and Equipment – Available for purchase again as of mid-September 2024, purchase within BobcatBuy+

Matheson Tri-Gas – UC Merced’s brand-new systemwide awardee for gas purchases. Individual account creation with Matheson customer support needed prior to purchasing within BobcatBuy+
The following steps are required to place your first order with Matheson:

As an initial account set up is required, the recipient will need to contact Matheson Customer Service (Email: westsac.support@mathesongas.com | Phone: 916-372-4272) to create an account for your location.

Matheson will then conduct a site visit as part of your account setup and determine delivery method for your orders.

Once you receive your Matheson account number, every order must be tied to that account for proper delivery.

You will either enter the account number accessing the Matheson punchout within BobcatBuy+ OR notate your account number in “Note to Supplier” in the requisition.
This is the process for all Matheson orders, whether for Dining, Facilities, or Research Laboratories.
